KIZ Teachers Training Project
The KIZ Teachers Training project aims to develop educators' skills in teaching Kizomba (Fusion) and related dance styles by providing a comprehensive understanding of various dance forms. Recognizing the evolving nature of Kizomba (Fusion), particularly its fusion with other styles, the project emphasizes the importance of a solid foundation in both traditional and modern dance techniques.
The training highlights the necessity for teachers to convey their passion while providing students with structured learning. This includes an understanding of the history and roots of Kizomba, connecting it to contemporary trends. The training is organized into two main parts:
1. Structured Information
This component covers the foundational knowledge and skills required for effective teaching, including:
- Methodology: Teachers will learn various teaching methods to engage students effectively and facilitate learning across different styles. This will also include combinations and practice of movements to help students master their technique and improve their dance fluency.
- Pedagogy: This focuses on teaching strategies and techniques that foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Psychology: Educators will gain insights into student psychology, enabling them to understand and respond to the emotional and mental aspects of learning.
- Conciseness (Spiritual Aspect): This part emphasizes the spiritual connection to dance, helping teachers convey the deeper meanings and emotions associated with Kizomba (Fusion).
2. Flexible Component
In addition to the structured training, the program includes a flexible component that adapts to the specific questions and needs of the students. This aspect encourages:
- Interactive Learning: A Q&A session will be integrated into the online training sessions, allowing students to engage directly with instructors.
- Real-Time Communication: Students will have the opportunity to ask questions via chat during online sessions and through WhatsApp at any time. They will receive answers in video format, which they can watch online or access later through recorded sessions. This ensures a dynamic and responsive learning environment.
- Recorded Sessions: All online sessions will be recorded, enabling students to review the content at their convenience and revisit any parts they may find challenging or wish to understand better.
The KIZ Teachers Training project ultimately aims to cultivate knowledgeable, adaptable, and empathetic dance educators who can inspire and empower their students in the world of Kizomba and beyond.
