Explanation
STAR CONCEPT
This video explains the Star concept, which forms the basis of this class and many others. Watch it carefully to understand the structure and the sequence of the Star steps. The most important thing is to remember the order of the steps you'll follow in this and future classes.

Quick reference for the steps:

Horizontal Line:
  1. Left foot to the left - center
  2. Right foot to the right - center
Vertical Line:
3. Left foot forward - center
4. Right foot forward - center
Horizontal Line:
5. Left foot to the left - center
6. Right foot to the right - center
Vertical Line:
7. Left foot back - center
8. Right foot back - center

The sequence combines horizontal and vertical lines as follows:
Horizontal - Vertical - Horizontal - Vertical.
You alternate the feet:
Left foot, Right foot for one line, then repeat for the next line

The "Lead and Following Techniques" and "Creativity in Action" series focus on partner work. However, all the information is extremely valuable and practical to watch, even if you don’t have a partner to practice with. You’ll gain theoretical knowledge that you can confidently apply on the dance floor with various partners.
